Sunbrella Umbrella, Cushion and Sling Maintenance

Sunbrella Stripes, Solids, Textures and Linens
Sunbrella features a soil and stain-resistant finish that makes clean up a breeze. Spot wash by sponging briskly with a soapy solution of natural soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air dry. Solution-dyed acrylic does not promote mildew growth; however mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean mildew stains, prepare a mild solution of one cup bleach, plus two capfulls of natural soap per gallon of water. Spray on entire area and allow soaking in. If necessary, scrub vigorously with a sponge or clean cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and air-dry.
Sunbrella Comfort Sling
Comfort sling material features a soil and stain resistant fabric that makes clean up a breeze. Spot wash by sponging briskly with a soapy solution of natural soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and allow air-drying. For stubborn stains or suntan lotion, use a fabric spot remover. Follow directions on container. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air-dry. These solutions dyed yarns do not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean mildew stains, prepare a mild solution of one cup bleach, plus two capfuls of natural soap per gallon of water. Spray on entire area and allow soaking in. Printed woven 100% Polyester
Common dirt, Suntan Oil, or lotion: Promptly remove soil with a solution consisting of two capfuls of mild liquid soap per gallon of water. Be liberal with solution and scrub with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents under any circumstances.

Textilene
Common Dirt	Take care of stain promptly with warm water and strong detergent.
Oil or Grease	Use bleach and rubbing alcohol.
Mildew	Use strong liquid detergent and warm water with bleach.
Beer or Coffee	Use strong liquid detergent with warm water and white vinegar.
Berry Juices, Wine or Blood	Use strong liquid detergent, warm water and ammonia.

PVC/Acrylic Blends
Common Dirt	Spot wash by sponging briskly with a lukewarm solution of mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap. Allow to air-dry. Do not use oil cleaners.
Suntan Oil	Use solution recommended by suntan oil manufacturer. Follow directions on container. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap residue.

Olefin
Common Dirt	Sponge off spills as quickly as possible. If a spot remains, use a mild detergent and water. Rinse entire cushion, sling or umbrella with water.
Baby Oil, Beer, Orange Juice or Coffee	Apply hot water and detergent. Rinse entire piece thoroughly. If necessary, apply a laundry pre-wash, leave on for ten minutes, and then re-apply hot water and detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Chlorine bleach may also be used without affecting fabric color.
Oil or Suntan Lotion	Apply volatile type paint remover to stain. Consumer brand names include K2R or Carbona stain removers or 100% mineral spirits. Follow package directions.
Ink, Marker or Mascara	Apply grain alcohol/wood alcohol to stain. Follow Package Directions.
